Electromagnetic Type Disc Brake consists of electromagnetic coils, torque springs and friction liner, driving square/ geared hub. The Brake has diameter ranging from 105 mm to 350 mm and has torque capacity from 0.25 kgm to 25 kgm. The Brake finds application in winches and conveyors, lifts and elevators, machine tools, wire drawing machines, rubber mixing mills, rolling mills, sugar, mining, cement, textile industries, brake motors etc. The Brake works on 24/ 190 v d supply and has the function to bring to stop, moving/ rotating machinery like motor/ gearbox. The Brake holds/ stops the load in desired place and has the feature of instant stop and is suitable for continuous and many number of operations. The Electromagnetic Type Disc Brake has robust design and consumes less power.
